She also co-wrote and hosted two radio show episodes for American Public Media, has given interviews on most major radio stations, and written liner notes for multiple albums, including the honor of co-writing liner notes for the re-release of a John Coltrane album with her father, A.B. Spellman.
Toyin is the founder of Imani Winds Media, a media company that produces albums, podcasts, and videos for musicians of color. With IWM she executive produced Imani Winds' Grammy-winning album Passion for Bach and Coltrane; and also co-executive produced Andy Akiho and Imani Winds' collaborative album, BeLonging.
